In order to obtain an authorization for travelling to Iran and reporting freely from the country, all media groups and journalists, such as editors, bureau chiefs, columnists, reporters, producers, directors, cameramen, technical staff, etc. have to:
- First, apply for a "Press Visa" by filling the Online Visa Application form at least two months before the scheduled visit. All required fields including the purpose/ plan of visit must be accurately filled up.
- Wait for the approval of the visa application from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran.
- Then, submit your passport and the Visa Grant Notice to the consular section of the Embassy at Duinweg 22, 2585 JX, The Hague.
- You can pick up the visa in person from the consular section after one week, or receive it by post. In case of urgency, the visa can be collected on the same day for an extra charge.
- Upon arrival in the country, you need to obtain a "press card" from the "Foreign Press and Media Office" of the Ministry of Culture -Tel: +98-21-88751754 /5/6/7 - or through authorized media agencies as follows:
